Message From Our President
Laurey Cosentino
| | |
Dear CWC Friends,
I can’t believe we’ve reached the end of our program year—it truly flew by! I’m so grateful for the many wonderful moments we’ve shared.
As is tradition, we’ve put together a presentation recapping our year. It’s attached to this message—please take a moment to read it and reflect on all we’ve accomplished together.
I’m especially proud of our Club’s commitment to philanthropy. The presentation includes some impressive stats on both donations and volunteer hours. In April, we shared that our STEM fundraiser was a success—but since then, even more donations have come in. I’m thrilled to announce our final total: $24,000! These funds will make a real difference in providing STEM education to underserved kids. Thank you to everyone who contributed!
It was such a joy to see so many of you at our May Luncheon and Fashion Show! Thank you again to our seven fabulous models—you were amazing! You’ll find some great photos from the event in this newsletter.
Thank you to everyone who completed our annual survey! We had a 37% response rate. While short of our goal, it still provides valuable insights. Your new Executive Board will be using your feedback to shape our strategic plan, and we’ll share more on that in the coming months.
You’ll also find a Clubs update in this newsletter. Huge thanks to all of our returning and new club chairs and co-chairs. We couldn’t do it without your leadership!
As we head into summer—a quieter season for our Club—I hope you enjoy time with family, friends, and any exciting travels you have planned. I plan to be at some summer events and look forward to seeing many of you there!
Warmly,
Laurey

Ladies, as we look forward to Clubs 2025 – 2026 program year.
A BIG THANK YOU for executing a 2024 – 2025 season filled with wonderful CWC member events/activities! Let's remember the 2024-2025 Clubs’ season through these photos taken at the Chairs & Co-Chairs year-end gathering on Wednesday evening May 21st at the lovely home of Jennifer Ziza enjoying good food & beverage, lots of laughter and chatter remembering the year in review for many, connecting with incoming chairs, exchanging stories with outgoing chairs, being in the moment for some or just looking forward to summer. The synergy was perfect. It couldn't have been scripted any better. So, be well and let’s enjoy the summer in GRATEFUL AND JOYFUL ways.

- Introducing “Ladies Night” - a new club. Ladies Night will offer Signature events organized to enlighten CWC members on the unique offerings of the Charlotte region. Each event will provide an opportunity to network with members and develop new relationships while experiencing the array of social events in the Charlotte area. All events will take place at various locations within the Charlotte area.
- Spur of the Moment Club: has been rebranded as Art, History and Culture Club.
- Travel and Culture Club: is now called Travel Club.
- Simply Social Club: Simply Social will be held twice a month – the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. Please note - members can only attend one Simply Social event during the month.
- Home and Garden and Travel Clubs: Please consider being a co-chair for one of these two clubs.
- Home and Garden (H&G), Chair Sherri would love to have a co-chair join in the excitement of planning H&G activities for the 2025-2026 season. Monthly events offer members a fresh array of new experiences and creative ideas to help to turn homes and gardens into a unique personal sanctuary to share with family and friends. The Home & Garden events and gatherings are filled with the enjoyment of making friends, sharing ideas, learning new techniques, and helping each other to live our best lives.
- Travel Club Chair, Edie Hubler, is very excited about the 2025 – 2026 travel plans on the table just waiting to bounce ideas off a co-chair while exploring ideas from members. The Travel Club will lead a variety of local day trips and overnight experiences organized to set the stage for extended travels for the fun-loving women of CWC during the 2025-2026 season and beyond.
| June 2025 - CWC Club Events

| Remember: To get invitations to club events, you must join that club. Just go to CWC Home Page and at the top of the page click on Clubs – choose the club you want to join and then click SIGN ME UP. That’s it – You’re in!
