Our Story

Established in 2011, the Carolina Women's Club (CWC) began with a simple yet meaningful vision: bringing women together through friendship, philanthropy and shard experiences that strengthen both individuals and community.

What started as the Piper Glen Women’s Club, founded by nine visionary women, quickly grew into something much larger. As membership expanded and the organization’s impact reached beyond a single neighborhood, the Club evolved into the Carolina Women’s Club (CWC) in 2016, reflecting a broader mission and growing regional presence.

Today, CWC proudly serves 200+ active members across Charlotte and surrounding communities, creating opportunities for women to connect, contribute, and build lasting relationships.

The Carolina Women’s Club is a 501(c)(7) nonprofit organization built upon three guiding principles:

Friendship

Building Meaningful Connections

Friendship is at the heart of CWC. Whether you are new to Charlotte, entering a new chapter of life, or simply seeking connection, CWC provides welcoming opportunities to meet women who share common interests and values.

From coffee conversations and luncheon gatherings to volunteer experiences and club activities, meaningful friendships naturally grow here.

Philanthropy

Giving Back to Our Community

Making a difference has always been central to CWC’s mission. Over the years, members have contributed:

  • $400,000+ in support of local nonprofit organizations
  • 2,000+ volunteer hours donated throughout the community

CWC proudly supports organizations serving women, children, families, and education initiatives throughout the Charlotte region.
